As an Emergency Medical Technician and volunteer firefighter, I experience responsibility where decisions, calm, structure, and capability matter immediately.
WHAT SERVICE MEANS
Service is not performance. It is the readiness to be present in real situations, take responsibility, and act professionally. It means understanding systems, staying calm under pressure, making clear decisions, and functioning as part of a team. Service shows not in words, but in actions – in the ability to be there when it counts.
EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIAN
As an Emergency Medical Technician, I work in pre-hospital emergency medicine. This means: rapid decisions with incomplete information, clear communication with patients and teams, ability to improvise under pressure, and responsibility for lives in critical moments. It is operational proximity to healthcare – not clinical expert positioning, but practical understanding of systems, processes, and human factors under stress.

VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTER
In volunteer firefighting, I experience teamwork in its purest form. Clear roles, mutual trust, preparation, and discipline are not optional – they are prerequisites. Every operation requires calm, focus, and the ability to respond quickly. It is about readiness: constant availability, rapid response, professional execution. This is service – not as a concept, but as lived practice.
CRISIS INTERVENTION & SvE
In addition to my emergency medical work, I completed training in crisis intervention and emergency-services aftercare (SvE) with the Austrian Red Cross, Tyrol.
The training focuses on psychosocial acute intervention, extraordinary stress situations, and supporting affected people and emergency personnel following potentially traumatic events.

Structured intervention methods for processing and stabilization.
WHAT SERVICE TEACHES
These experiences translate into concrete capabilities and mindsets:
Emotional stability and clear thinking in critical moments.
Capability despite uncertainty – not paralysis by perfectionism.
Precise, understandable, actionable – no misunderstandings under pressure.
Understanding that success depends on clear roles and mutual trust.
Regular training, maintenance, verification – readiness is work.
Theory is useless without practical execution. Execution matters.
Professional readiness includes not only preparation and action, but also dealing with stress, reflection and restoring the ability to act.
